Ruth was also known as Rolfe.2

Compiler's note: Ruth Green is often identified as Ruth Rolfe, daughter of John and Joanne (Coles) Rolfe. but that is questionable. According to Henry Rolfe, the town records of Haverhill identify her as Ruth Green. He also reports that the will of John Rolfe mentions 3 daughters, but none named Ruth, though he does make a bequest to the children of Thomas Whittier who he calls "my sister's son."6
