     He and Florence Hayward immigrated in 1633 on the Mary & John, arriving in Dorchester, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Their son John traveled with them. Three daughters (Hester, Sarah and Joanna) were also in their party.2,1 William Hosford became a freeman on 1 April 1634 in Dorchester, Massachusetts Bay Colony, now Suffolk County.1,2 He returned to England permanently in 1654.1
