     Ernest Fox Nichols was born on 1 June 1869 in 707 Delaware St., Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas.4,2,5,3 He was the son of Alonzo Curtis Nichols and Sophronia Fox.3 Ernest Fox Nichols married Katharine Williams West on 16 June 1894 in Hamilton, Madison County, New York.4,6 Ernest Fox Nichols died on 29 April 1924 in Washington, District of Columbia, at age 54. He died on stage,while presenting a paper to the National Academy of Sciences.7,3,8 He was buried in Colgate University Cemetery, Madison County, New York.6
     Ernest also went by the nickname Ted. Their daughter Esther Katharine was listed as living with them, He was president of Dartmouth College.11 He was selected to be president of MIT but was unable to assume the job for health reasons.1 Ernest Fox Nichols and Katharine Williams West appeared on the 1920 Federal census of New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, enumerated 5 January 1920.      Charles James Fox was born on 12 June 1874 in Manhattan, Riley County, Kansas.3,4,2,5 He was the son of Simeon Moses Fox and Ella Kimball.3 Charles James Fox married as his first wife Mabel Van Antwerp on 26 May 1896.6,2 Charles James Fox married as his second wife Estella Carroll on 25 November 1916 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.4,3,7 Charles James Fox died on 26 July 1946 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, at age 72.8
     He appeared on the 1880 Federal census of Manhattan, in Riley County, Kansas, in the household of his father Simeon Moses Fox and Esther Butler.9 Charles James Fox and Mabel Van Antwerp appeared on the 1900 Federal census of Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, enumerated 2 June 1900.10 Charles James Fox and Mabel Van Antwerp appeared on the 1910 Federal census of Kansas, Jackson County, Missouri, enumerated 23 April 1910. Their daughter Elizabeth was listed as living with them.11 Charles James Fox registered for the draft for World War I on 12 September 1918.12 He and Estella Carroll appeared on the 1920 Federal census of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, enumerated 7 January 1920. Their children John Carroll were listed as living with them. His daughter Elizabeth Fox was also living with them.13 Charles James Fox and Estella Carroll appeared on the 1930 Federal census of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California enumerated 11 April 1930. Their children John Carroll were listed as living with them.
