     Nathaniel Greeley was born on 28 October 1744 in Hudson, Province of New Hampshire, now Hillsborough County.^2,1 He was the son of Major Samuel Greeley and Abigail Blodgett.¹ Nathaniel Greeley married Lydia Cram, daughter of John Cram and Sarah (?), in 1768.^3,1 Nathaniel Greeley died on 16 December 1819 in Andover, Windsor County, Vermont, at age 75.^3,1 He was buried in Middletown Cemetery, Andover, Windsor County, Vermont.⁴
     Nathaniel Greeley signed the Association Test at Wilton, NH 12 June 1776. He served during the Revolution in Captain Philip Putnam's Company of Volunteers in Col. Moses Nichols' regiment, who marched from Wilton, NH 29 Sep 1777 , and joined the Northern Continental Army at Saratoga. 27 days service.

     Lydia Cram was born on 28 May 1750 in Exeter, Province of New Hampshire, now Rockingham County.^2,1 She was the daughter of John Cram and Sarah (?)¹ Lydia Cram married Nathaniel Greeley, son of Major Samuel Greeley and Abigail Blodgett, in 1768.^3,1 Lydia Cram died on 2 July 1818 in Andover, Windsor County, Vermont, at age 68.^3,1 She was buried in Middletown Cemetery, Andover, Windsor County, Vermont.⁴

     Mary Dow was born on 26 April 1644 in Newbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony.² She was the daughter of Thomas Dow and Phebe Latly.² Mary Dow married as her first husband Gilbert Wilford in 1665 in Bradford, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^3,4 Mary Dow married as her second husband Matthew Clarke on 2 April 1679 in Haverhill, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^3,1 Mary Dow died in 1685 in Bradford, Massachusetts Bay Colony.⁵

     Deborah Ely was born circa 1697 in Lyme, Connecticut Colony. She was the daughter of Captain William and Elizabeth (Smith) Ely.² She married as her first husband Ebenezer Dennis on 19 November 1717 in New London, Connecticut Colony.^1,2,3 Deborah Ely married as her second husband Lieutenant Walter Butler , son of Thomas Butler, in 1727.^1,2 Her death date has not been found.

     John Butler was born before 28 April 1728 in New London, Connecticut Colony.² He was baptized on 28 April 1728 in New London, Connecticut Colony.² He was the son of Lieutenant Walter Butler and Deborah Ely.² John Butler married Catherine Brat in 1752.¹ John Butler died on 12 May 1796 in Niagra, Upper Canada, Colony of Canada, now Ontario.¹
     He and Catherine Brat had five children.¹ He commanded a regiment that became known as Butler's Rangers. In June 1778, he led his rangers and 300 Indians against Wyoming (now Wilkes-Barre) Pennsylvania. He defeated Zabulon Butler, took Forty Fort, and was unable to prevent his Indian allies from perpetrating the Wyoming Valley Massacre. Later the same year, he was in command when the Cherry Valley Massacre occurred.¹

     Ruth Wilford was born on 15 May 1672 in Bradford, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^1,3,2 She was the daughter of Gilbert Wilford and Mary Dow.^1,2 Ruth Wilford married Thomas Ayer on 12 June 1694 in Haverhill, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^3,4 Ruth Wilford died on 29 August 1708 at age 36. She was killed by Indians along with her daughter Ruth.⁵
