Felix Sangunett1,2

b. 30 January 1838, d. 20 January 1911
     Felix Sangunett was born on 30 January 1838 in Carondelet, St. Louis County, Missouri.2 He was the son of Christophe Sanguinet and Marie Louise Desnoyers. Felix Sangunett was baptized on 27 July 1838 in St. Mary and Joseph, Carondelet, St. Louis County, Missouri. He married Margaret Jones, daughter of William M. Jones and Rebecca Jane Morris, circa 1866 in Rulo, Richardson County, Nebraska. Felix Sangunett died on 20 January 1911 in Gable, Lincoln County, Oklahoma, at age 72.2
     Felix was also known as Sanguinet. Felix was also known as Phelix.3 Felix was also known as Felicien. He began military service the Civil War. He is found in the Civil War Muster Rolls-Private, Company C 1st Battalion Nebraska Calvary. He and Margaret Jones appeared on the 1900 Federal census of Chandler, Lincoln County, Oklahoma Territory, enumerated 5 June 1900. Their children Rebecca, Febey, Robert Paul and James L. were listed as living with them.4

Felix helped his friend Joseph Robidoux Jr. to settle St. Joseph, MO. There is a street named after him there called Felix Street and one of Joseph's sons was named after Felix. The streets of St. Joseph converge at one point and it is said that Felix and Joseph Roubidoux, Jr. shot 7 arrows from this point to lay out the streets of the town. (St. Joseph was setteled by Joseph Robidoux (Sr.) in 1826 as a fur trading outpost. ) He then left St. Joseph and spent many years out west. He lived quite a bit among the Indians and had an Indian wife. He became a scout for General Custer and advised him not to go to Little Big Horn. He then moved to Rulo, Nebraska where he met and married Margaret Jones. They moved to Anadarko, OK where their house burned down. They then moved to Meeker, OK. Margaret died and was buried between Chandler and Meeker, OK. Felix lived with his son Robert and Daughter-in-law Rosie until his death.

     Marie Sanguinet was born on 25 August 1790 in St. Louis, Nouvelle France, now Missouri.1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Sanguinet and Marie Anne Conde.1 Marie Sanguinet married Joseph Victor Garnier on 30 April 1812 in Old Cathedral Church, St. Louis, Louisiana Territory, now Missouri.1,2 Marie Sanguinet died on 3 February 1885 at age 94.3,2
     She appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Ward 7, St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri, in the household of her daughter and son-in-law John Hogan and Harriet Garnier.4 Marie Sanguinet appeared on the 1880 Federal census of St. Louis, Missouri, in the household of her daughter and son-in-law John Hogan and Harriet Garnier.5

     Constance Sanguinet was born on 29 July 1792 in St. Louis, Nouvelle France, now Missouri.1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Sanguinet and Marie Anne Conde.2 Constance Sanguinet married Auguste Aristede Chouteau on 10 June 1810 in St. Louis, Louisiana Territory, now Missouri, This marriage was ratified on August 13, 1814 at St. Louis.1,2 Constance Sanguinet died in 1834.1
