     She appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Ward 5, St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri, in the household of her son William H. Cozens.3

Hunt and Mary Owings (sp?)3,4 She married Theodore Benoist, son of Louis Auguste Benoist and Sara E. Wilson, on 12 January 1887 in Normandy, St. Louis County, Missouri.1,2,5 Mary Emily Hunt died on 12 July 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri, at age 66.6,3,4 She was buried on 14 July 1932 in Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri, Section 017, lot 0021.6
     She and Theodore Benoist appeared on the 1900 Federal census of St. Louis, Missouri, at Ward 28, enumerated 14 June 1900. Their children Miriam, Charles Louis, Jean Hunt, Anna Wright, Theodore and Wilson Anthony were listed as living with them.7 Mary Emily Hunt and Theodore Benoist appeared on the 1910 Federal census of St. Louis, Missouri, enumerated 15 April 1910. Their children Charles Louis, Miriam, Jean Hunt, Anna Wright, Theodore, Wilson Anthony and Francois Barat were listed as living with them.8 Mary Emily Hunt and Theodore Benoist appeared on the 1920 Federal census of St. Louis, Missouri, enumerated 5 January 1920. Their children Miriam and Theodore were listed as living with them.2 Mary Emily Hunt appeared on the 1930 Federal census of St. Louis, Missouri enumerated 18 April 1930.9

Simon Sanguinet1,2,3

     Simon Sanguinet was born circa 1709 in France.2 He was the son of Joseph Sanguinet and Therese Timan. Simon Sanguinet married Angelique Lefebvre, daughter of Louis Lefebvre and Marie-Angelique Perthuis, on 30 January 1728/29 in Varennes, Nouvelle France, now Quebec, Canada.2,1,3 His death date has not been found.
     Simon was a French Surgeon who, early in the eighteenth century, was sent to Canada and was assigned to duty at one of the military posts of what was then known as New France. He was an educated man, and held the highest civil position of the day, a notary.
