     Remick Cole was born on 1 October 1795.1 He was the son of Samuel Cole and Hannah Shackley. Remick Cole married as his first wife Sarah Powers before 1831. Remick Cole married as his second wife Mehitabel Clark, daughter of David Clark and Mehitable Littlefield, after 1831.2 Remick Cole died on 22 May 1876 at age 80.1
     He and Mehitabel Clark appeared on the 1850 Federal census of Hollis, York County, Maine, enumerated 28 September 1850.3 Remick Cole and Mehitabel Clark appeared on the 1860 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, enumerated 1 June 1860. Their children Eliza Durant, Clark Remick and Owen were listed as living with them.2 Remick Cole and Mehitabel Clark appeared on the 1870 Federal census of Dayton, York County, Maine, enumerated 7 July 1870. Their son Owen was listed as living with them, along with Owen's wife Elsie A. Hill and their children Fred Remick and Frank Owen.4
