     Edward Gordon Herdman was born in January 1862 in Pictou, Nova Scotia, Colony of Canada, now Pictou County. He was the son of Rev. Andrew Walker and Elizabeth (Close) Herdman.2,3 He married Mary Kimball Smith, daughter of Charles Smith and Sarah Willard Cole, in 1890.2,3 His death date has not been found. He died in Massachusetts.4 Edward Gordon Herdman was buried in Needham Cemetery, Needham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.4

     Nellie was also known as Nettie. She appeared on the 1900 Federal census of Biddeford, York County, Maine, enumerated 7 June 1900 boarding in the house of Mary Murray (?), along with her sister Annie..3 Nellie Florence Cole appeared on the 1910 Federal census of Dayton, in York County, Maine, in the household of her brother Frank Owen Cole.4 Nellie Florence Cole and Bartlett A. Dow appeared on the 1910 Federal census of Portland, Cumberland County, Maine, enumerated 25 April 1910.      Annie Elsie Cole was born on 16 September 1886 in Maine.1,2 She was the daughter of Owen Cole and Elsie A. Hill. Annie Elsie Cole married Roscoe David Bumford on 24 August 1911 in Dayton, York County, Maine.3 Annie Elsie Cole died on 12 December 1956 in Lebanon, York County, Maine, at age 70.4
