     Abraham Chase was born on 10 January 1683/84 in Tisbury, Marthas Vinyard, Province of New York, now Dukes County, Massachusetts.^1,2,3 He was the son of Lt. Isaac Chase and Mary Tilton.^1,2,3 Abraham Chase married as his first wife Abigail Barnard, daughter of Nathaniel Barnard and Mary Barnard, in 1709.^2,1,4 Abraham Chase married as his second wife Mercy Nickerson on 5 March 1732.⁵ Abraham Chase died on 20 December 1763 in Tisbury, Marthas Vinyard, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at age 79.² He was buried in South End Cemetery, Tisbury, Marthas Vinyard, Dukes County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.⁶

Compiler's note: In the course of review of Massachusetts vital records, it has become clear that the lineage for Deliverance Lombard previously listed here was incorrect. She may have been the daughter of a Caleb Lombard, but not the one who married Elizabeth Small. That marriage happened in 1705 according to the VR. It is possible that Caleb Lombard was her brother. Neither birth has been found in the VR to date so for the moment, her lineage is a mystery.

The Nickerson Family says she was the daughter of Caleb Lombard, Sr.²
