Abigail Cook1

     Abigail Cook was born on 1 March 1659/60 in Windsor, Connecticut Colony, Hartford County.1 She was the daughter of Nathaniel Cook and Lydia Vore.1 Abigail Cook was baptized on 7 March 1659/60 in Windsor, Connecticut Colony, Hartford County.1 She married as her first husband Joshua Pomeroy on 9 January 1677.1 Abigail Cook married as her second husband Deacon David Hoyt circa 1692.1 Abigail Cook married as her third husband Deacon Nathaniel Royce on 25 August 1708.1 Abigail Cook died before 1720.1
     In the French and Indian attack on Deerfield, Deacon Hoyt, his wife Abigail and 4 children were taken into captivity and carried off to Canada. One son was killed on the road. Deacon Hoyt died of hunger near the lower Cohoes. The widow returned to her home in Deerfield by 1708.1
