Benedict on 17 March 1868.2 David McNeil Grant married as his third wife Mary Bissell on 13 June 1876.2 David McNeil Grant died on 6 September 1885 in Torrington, Litchfield County, Connecticut, at age 73. His tombstone says Sept. 5.4,2,5,6 He was buried in East Burying Ground Cemetery, Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut.5

His mother Hannah McNiel and sister Harriet Lucretia Grant were living with them.9 David McNeil Grant and Mary Bissell appeared on the 1880 Federal census of Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut, enumerated 1 June 1880. Daniel's children Charles H (18) and Fannie (15) were also in the househiold as were his sister and brother Harriet Lucretia and Charles William.10

Charles Grant1,2,3

b. 14 July 1749, d. before 14 December 1805
     Charles Grant was born on 14 July 1749 in Litchfield, Connecticut Colony, now Litchfield County.1,2,3 He was the son of Increase Grant and Ann Hosford.4,3 Charles Grant married Dinah Beach on 25 January 1776 in Litchfield, Connecticut Colony. They were married by Epaphras Sheldon JP. They had 4 children - see The Grant Family for details.1,2,3 He died before 14 December 1805.4,2
     He lived in Charlotte, Republic of Vermont, in 1788.2

     Josiah Grant was born on 28 January 1682 in Windsor, Connecticut Colony.1,2,3,4 He was the son of John Grant and Mary Hull.3,5,6 Josiah Grant married as his first wife Sarah Cooke, daughter of John Cook and Sarah Fiske, on 30 March 1710 in Windsor, Connecticut Colony.1,2,3 Josiah Grant married as his second wife Sarah Cook, daughter of Nathaniel Cook and Lydia Brooks, on 4 August 1714 in Windsor, Connecticut Colony.3,1,6,4 Josiah Grant died on 26 February 1762 in Litchfield, Connecticut Colony, at age 80.1,2,7,4
     He was a hayward, surveyor, grand juror, fence viewer and tythingman.2 He lived in Litchfield, Connecticut Colony, now Litchfield County, in 1726.6
