     William Howe was born on 14 February 1733/34 in Shrewsbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^1,2 He was the son of Daniel Howe and Esther Clayes.^1,2 William Howe died on 23 March 1813 at age 79.¹

     Lucy Howe was born on 6 May 1736 in Shrewsbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^1,2 She was the daughter of Daniel Howe and Esther Clayes.^1,2 Marriage banns for Lucy Howe were published on 31 December 1757 in Shrewsbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.² She married Daniel Smith on 19 January 1758 in Shrewsbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay. They had eight children. See the Howe Genealogies for details.^1,2 Lucy Howe died on 31 July 1802 in Shrewsbury, Worcester County, Massachusetts, at age 66.^1,2

     Daniel Smith was born in 1733 in Boxford, Massachusetts Bay Colony.² He married Lucy Howe, daughter of Daniel Howe and Esther Clayes, on 19 January 1758 in Shrewsbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.      James Clayes was born between 1671 and 1675 in Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony.² He was the son of Peter Cloyes and Anne Littlefield.¹ James Clayes was baptized on 10 March 1678/79 in Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony.¹ He married Mary Towne, daughter of John Towne and Mary Smith, before 1702.³ His death date has not been found. He died in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.⁴
     James was also known as Cloyes.²

     Mary Towne was born on 23 June 1681 in Topsfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^2,1,3 She was the daughter of John Towne and Mary Smith.¹ Mary Towne married James Clayes, son of Peter Cloyes and Anne Littlefield, before 1702.⁴ Her death date has not been found. She died in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.⁵

     Keziah Clayes was born on 8 December 1705 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Clayes and Mary Towne.^1,2 Keziah Clayes married William Goddard on 26 January 1726/27 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.² Her death date has not been found.

     William Goddard was born in 1706 in Newton, Province of Massachusetts Bay. He was the son of Josiah and Rachel (Davis) Goddard.² He married Keziah Clayes, daughter of James Clayes and Mary Towne, on 26 January 1726/27 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.¹ His death date has not been found.

     John Clayes was born on 25 September 1707 in Salem, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^1,2 He was the son of James Clayes and Mary Towne.^1,2 John Clayes married Elizabeth Morse on 10 December 1730 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^1,2 John Clayes married Zerviah Towne, daughter of John Towne and Mary Smith, on 22 November 1748 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^1,2 His death date has not been found.

     Elizabeth Morse was born circa 1707 in Salem, Province of Massachusetts Bay.² She married John Clayes, son of James Clayes and Mary Towne, on 10 December 1730 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^1,3 Her death date has not been found.

     Zerviah Towne was born circa 1707 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.³ She was the daughter of John Towne and Mary Smith.³ Zerviah Towne married John Clayes, son of James Clayes and Mary Towne, on 22 November 1748 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay.^2,4 Zerviah Towne died in 1766.³

Jacob Towne and Katherine Symonds.^2,1 John Towne married Mary Smith, daughter of Robert Smith and Mary French, on 2 February 1679/80 in Topsfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^3,2,1 John Towne died on 27 November 1740 in Oxford, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at age 82.³ He was buried on 30 November 1740 in Oxford, Province of Massachusetts Bay.³
     He was elected in 1700 in Framingham, Province of Massachusetts Bay, When Framingham was founded in 1700, he was elected Selectman.³ He was elected on 22 July 1713 in Oxford, Province of Massachusetts Bay, He moved to Oxford and at the first towm meeting held there, was elected Town Clerk and Selectman.³

She and her husband were living in Oxford, Suffolk county in after 1726 when they disposed of her rights to her father's estate.¹

     Israel Towne was born on 18 November 1684 in Topsfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^1,2,3 He was the son of John Towne and Mary Smith.^3,1 Israel Towne married Susanna Haven.¹ He died on 29 October 1771 in Oxford, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at age 86.⁴

     Esther Towne was born on 13 December 1686 in Topsfield, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^2,1,3 She was the daughter of John Towne and Mary Smith.^3,1 Esther Towne married Simon Mellen on 23 April 1711.¹ She died before October 1744.⁴
