Their children Edward, Joanna, Thomas, John and Ann traveled with them. They traveled in the company of Reverend Joseph Hull.^1,3

She was the daughter of Thomas of Haddam, CT.¹ She married Nathaniel Spencer, son of Sargeant Jared Spencer and Hannah Hill, in 1681 in Kinderhook, Province of New York, now Columbia County.¹ Lydia Smith died date unknown.

     Gerard Spencer was born on 20 May 1575 in Edworth, Bedfordshire, England.¹ He was the son of Michael Spencer and Elizabeth Collamore.¹ Gerard Spencer married Alice Whitbred, daughter of John Lawrence Whitbred and Eleanor Radcliffe, on 10 November 1600.² Gerard Spencer died on 8 June 1646 in Stotfold, Bedfordshire, England, at age 71.²

     Alice Whitbred was born circa 1578 in Upper Gravenhurst, Bedfordshire, England.² She was the daughter of John Lawrence Whitbred and Eleanor Radcliffe.¹ Alice Whitbred married Gerard Spencer, son of Michael Spencer and Elizabeth Collamore, on 10 November 1600.² Alice Whitbred died on 14 April 1628 in Elstow, Bedfordshire, England.²
